Colours, lighting, reflections, scratches, card surfaces, slab marks, print lines, dents, whitening, centring, and packaging imperfections may appear differently depending on screen settings, camera angle, lighting, and image quality.

8. Trading Card and Collectible Condition

Trading cards and collectibles are condition-sensitive items.

We aim to describe card, slab, sealed product, and collectible condition as accurately and honestly as possible.

However, condition assessment may involve some subjectivity, especially for raw cards and collectible packaging.

8.1 Raw Cards

Raw card condition is assessed in good faith based on visible factors such as:

  • centring
  • corners
  • edges
  • surface
  • whitening
  • scratches
  • dents
  • print lines
  • holofoil condition
  • bends or creases
  • factory defects
  • general eye appeal

Unless a card is professionally graded by a third-party grading company, any condition description is our opinion only and should not be treated as a guaranteed grade.

A raw card described as near mint, excellent, lightly played, or similar does not guarantee that it will receive any particular grade if submitted to a grading company.

8.2 Graded Cards and Slabs

For graded cards, the assigned grade reflects the opinion of the relevant third-party grading company.

This may include companies such as PSA, BGS, CGC, TAG, SGC, ACE, or other grading services, depending on the item listed.

Zard Yard does not control grading company standards, grading outcomes, grading consistency, population reports, certification databases, or future changes to grading policies.

Where available, certification numbers may be provided so that buyers can independently verify the item with the relevant grading company.

The grade of the card and the physical condition of the slab are separate matters. A graded card may have a high grade while the slab itself may have scratches, scuffs, marks, cracks, label issues, or other imperfections. We will try to disclose notable slab issues where known.

8.3 Sealed Products

Sealed products may include booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, packs, collection boxes, tins, cases, or other Pokémon TCG products.

Sealed products may have minor shelf wear, dents, tears, compression marks, wrapping imperfections, loose wrapping, price sticker residue, or factory imperfections unless otherwise stated.

A sealed product being sealed does not guarantee perfect outer packaging condition.

8.4 Factory Defects and Manufacturing Variation

Trading cards and sealed Pokémon TCG products may contain factory defects or manufacturing variation, including print lines, centring issues, roller marks, surface marks, crimping defects, whitening, packaging imperfections, or other production-related issues.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, Zard Yard is not responsible for manufacturing defects created by the original manufacturer.

9. Authentication and Grading Disclaimer

Zard Yard may sell or feature graded cards, authenticated items, or products assessed by third-party grading or authentication companies.

A third-party grade, label, certificate, or authentication result belongs to the relevant grading or authentication company and does not represent a separate guarantee by Zard Yard beyond the information provided in the listing.

Buyers are encouraged to verify certification numbers, label details, and authentication information with the relevant grading company or official database where available.

Grading standards and certification records may change over time. Population reports, market values, and grading interpretations may also change.

Zard Yard is not responsible for future changes in grading company policy, certification status, population report numbers, grade perception, or market value.

10. Pokémon and Trademark Disclaimer

Zard Yard is an independent Pokémon TCG content and collectibles platform.

Zard Yard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or any related entities.
